Chattanooga Presents' Nightfall is preparing for its third concert of the summer. The festivities will be held downtown in Miller Plaza, starting at 7 p.m., and the event is free.

Friday's headliner, Roadkill Ghost Choir, is a rising indie folk-rock band that hails from DeLand, Florida. Support will be provided by local alternative country band Paul Hadfield & the McCoys

Roadkill Ghost Choir came together in 2010, when Andrew Shepard enlisted his brothers, Maxx and Zach, to form the band's rhythm section.

Additional members are multi-instrumentalists Kiffy Meyers and Joey Davoli, with Stephen Garza featured on lead guitar.

Their debut EP, "Quiet Light," was released in 2012. Since then, the band has been touring pretty relentlessly, with many stops on the summer festival circuit.

This includes Tennessee's own Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, where they will be playing two sets.

Throw one of Chattanooga's most exciting local acts in the mix, and this week's Nightfall will be one that you won't want to miss.
