Ooltewah mixed-use development Cambridge Square has been gaining momentum, and yoga studio BeYoga is now officially open there.

Owners Amanda Carmichael and Amy Mace of Mace+Carmichael, a Chattanooga-based public relations agency, are working with River Street Architecture on the design for the 2,500-square-foot studio.

Since announcing their plans to open the studio in July 2013, the duo worked closely with the Barrier Properties design team to create a welcoming space for their business.

"It has been a dream of ours to create a space for yoga and community," Carmichael said in a prepared statement. "We are very glad to share the practice with many new and seasoned practitioners, and we look forward to a fun and healthy 2014."

Cambridge Square is located at the corner of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road and Lee Highway.

The business is offering a grand opening special of 12 days of consecutive yoga for $12.

The studio offers 40 classes a week, as well as on-site child care and classes designed specifically for children.

BeYoga will open its smoothie bar Dec. 16.

On Dec. 21, the business' leaders will host a grand opening celebration and open house at which Mace and Carmichael will offer free yoga throughout the day, as well as giveaways, incentives and discounts.

"We are very proud to have an official fitness offering at Cambridge Square," Jim Cheney, marketing director for Barrier Properties, said in a prepared statement. "We anticipate that BeYoga will become a very popular spot within the community."
