Leaders with SCORE, a national nonprofit that supports small business owners, are partnering to give a "productivity makeover."
Along with Brother International Corporation, an office technology products provider, SCORE leaders have launched BizClips: The Small Business Productivity Makeover Video Contest.
"This is a chance for small businesses to showcase themselves in front of a national audience," SCORE CEO Ken Yancey said in a prepared statement. "Not only is it a chance for the winner to become more productive through the makeover, but SCORE wants to help all small businesses access resources and information to help them be more successful."
Small business leaders are invited to make a short video telling how their business could benefit from a productivity makeover and advice from SCORE leaders.
The BizClips contest is part of SCORE’s 50th anniversary, celebrating the 10 million small businesses SCORE has helped since 1964.
Videos can be simple or complex and must be 30-60 seconds in length, according to a news release.
Submissions must be sent in by midnight Feb. 25.
Members of the public will have a chance to vote for their favorite video in April. Then, a panel of small business experts will pick a grand prize winner. They will take into account the number of public votes each video received.
The winner will receive $2,500 in Brother International products and services and will be flown to Washington, D.C., for a special national announcement at the SCORE Awards Gala in September 2014.
