Yee-haw! The weekend is here. Nooga.com checks all the options and gives you our best bets for the top five.

Guns & Hoses
The annual battle of the badges is back, pitting local firefighters against local members of the police department in the ring. Click here for the full card. Both teams represent departments throughout Hamilton County and the Chattanooga metropolitan area. All proceeds from Guns & Hoses will benefit the Westside Boxing Club, a delinquency prevention program, and the Forgotten Child Fund, which helps disadvantaged children have a memorable holiday. The boxing is absolutely real and the competition fierce. Click here for tickets.

When: Friday, Dec. 6, 7:30 p.m.
Where: 720 E. Fourth St.
How much: $20-$25

Krampusnacht
According to folklore, Krampus is the dark companion to St. Nicholas. The beast-like creature is thought to punish children during the Yule season instead of bringing them gifts. Nice, eh? Here’s a picture of ol' Krampus. The Subterranean Cirqus, Chattanooga’s insane variety show, brings Krampusnacht to JJ’s Bohemia tonight. Expect a celebration of the "darker side of the holidays." Performances will include comedy, sideshow stunts, feats of strength, burlesque and more. Click here for the complete list of performers.

When: Friday, Dec. 6, 9 p.m.
Where: 231 E. M.L. King Blvd.
How much: $7

Mainx24
Mainx24 is finally here! The free event celebrating Chattanooga’s Main Street has become one of the most popular community events in the city. It features 24 hours of fun, entertainment, shopping and revelry beginning Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 a.m. and lasting an entire 24-hour stretch into Sunday. Nooga.com has assembled three separate guides to help navigate through the madness: the essentials, the weird and the music. Click here for a complete schedule.

When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 7 a.m.-Sunday, Dec. 8, 7 a.m.
Where: Main Street/Southside
How much: Prices vary (most events are free)

Ron Block Trio and Sierra Hull at Barking Legs
Fans of Alison Krauss are already familiar with longtime Union Station member Ron Block. His virtuosic banjo performances and vocals are featured on many of Krauss’ most famous songs for the past 20 years. On Saturday, Block brings a trio of performers, including bassist Mark Fain and the young mandolin virtuoso Sierra Hull, to Chattanooga. The show is at the intimate Barking Legs Theater at 8 p.m. Click here for tickets.

When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 8 p.m.
Where: 1307 Dodds Ave.
How much: $18

Holiday Market
You can’t keep the Chattanooga Market down, even with inclement weather. The market has moved to the Chattanooga Convention and Trade Center for the next three weekends, but other than that, nothing has changed. Expect holiday-themed music, more than 200 vendors featuring handmade gifts and original works, and a ton of local produce. The Chattanooga Boys Choir will sing carols, and Santa Claus (not Krampus) will make an appearance.

When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: 1150 Carter St.
