Same-day delivery? Try same-hour delivery.

Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon.com, unveiled a new delivery service on CBS’ "60 Minutes." Prime Air would use unmanned aerial drones to deliver customers’ orders in 30 minutes or less, the company says.

"I know this looks like science fiction," Bezos told Charlie Rose. "It’s not."

Once the necessary Federal Aviation Administration regulations are in place, Amazon fulfillment centers like the one in Chattanooga could put together an online order and load the package onto a drone. Consumers would receive their orders in record time.

The futuristic service sent the Internet into high gear.
