After about seven months of work, crews have completed renovations at Northgate Mall.
"Our continued investment in Northgate Mall not only reinforces its place as the market-dominant shopping destination, but it also helps to attract new retailers to the shopping center," Steve Banks, general manager, said in a prepared statement. "The renovation and ongoing growth at Northgate Mall helps us deliver just that, and we look forward to continuing our growth in the years to come."
Mall leaders are hosting three days of events to celebrate the completion of the renovations.
There will be child-friendly events, such as the grand opening of the Memorial Hospital-Hixson Play Area and a pajama party with Santa.
There will also be a health fair and Chick-fil-A anniversary celebration with cake, a magician, balloons and discounted food items.

In October 2011, CBL—which owns and manages Hamilton Place Mall—bought Northgate in an online auction for $11.5 million.
Crews started the multimillion renovations on the Hixson mall in the spring, and this week, leaders are hosting a three-day celebration to mark the revamp's completion.
The renovation is the shopping center's third major interior renovation since opening in 1972.
With the purchase and renovations of the mall, leaders aimed to revitalize the property and draw more traffic to the mall.
Crews worked at night so the mall could stay open during the makeover, which includes energy-efficiency upgrades, ceiling and lighting upgrades, upgraded tile floors throughout the property, new paint throughout and carpeted soft seating areas.
Officials said that the renovations have helped draw in new retailers.
Retailers that have opened this year include Michael's and Ross Dress for Less outside the mall and Auntie Anne’s Pretzels inside the mall.
Burlington Coat Factory will open their doors in fall 2014 in a 63,000-square-foot space, and Old Navy will open in January 2014.
