Both Chattanooga Sweet Peppers Deli locations are closing this week, employees at both stores confirmed Tuesday.
An official at the company's corporate office said that it had not been confirmed yet, although there were discussions about closures.
The franchisees couldn't immediately be reached for more information.
Sweet Peppers' Broad Street location opened in 2009, and leaders with CBL—which owns Hamilton Place—announced in August 2011 that a store would locate at The Shoppes at Hamilton Place. That location opened in 2012, according to Nooga.com archives.
Sweet Peppers is a fast-casual concept that started in 1997, when the first store opened in Columbus, Miss., according to the company's website.
