The third installment of the Mise En Scenesters Frightening Ass Film Fest features horror film screenings, live music and a filmmaking contest.
If that weren’t enough, organizers also plan to have stand-up comedy and an onsite “zombification chamber” to help make your zombie dreams a zombie reality. Fittingly, The Muenster Truck will provide food service.
Live music will be performed by Shark Week during the festival. Four bands will be featured to close out the night. Colleen Green, Pujol, White Fang and The Memories will all perform beginning at 10 p.m.

Here is a list of the films:
Spider Baby—1:30 p.m.
The voiceover in the trailer says “Spider Baby has the seductive innocence of Lolita and the savage hunger of a black widow ... Spider Baby will give you nightmares forever.” Starring Sid Haig and Lon Chaney Jr., the film is a black comedy horror which tells the story of “...a chauffeur and caretaker of three orphaned siblings who suffer from "Merrye Syndrome", which causes them to mentally, socially, and physically regress backwards down the evolutionary ladder starting in early puberty,” according to wikipedia. The film was released in 1964. It had a $64,000 budget.
The real horror begins with this modern remake of a classic. According to the MES site, “Maniac” is “One of the most intense and electrifying horror films of the year.” The film stars Elijah Wood as Frank, a withdrawn owner of a mannequin store. When a young artist, Anna, appears to ask for help with her art exhibition, Frank’s obsession begins to escalate. And the body count begins to rise.
Bad Milo!—8:45 p.m.
It is difficult to describe a film like “Bad Milo!” for mass consumption, but I’ll do my best. This film is about a rectum that has a demon inside of it. According to the folks at MES, this film is “insane, splattery and oddly touching.” The film is a comedy starring Ken Marino as a simple man under a lot of stress from work, his wife and nagging mother. This stress begins to take a serious toll on his gastronomics. Under hypnotherapy, it is discovered that a tiny demon is living within and, when triggered, forces itself out to slaughter people.
