Theater for the New South, "Circle Mirror Transformation"
During a break in between performances of "Prometheus Bound," Theater for the New South is holding auditions for its next performance this evening for Annie Baker’s "Circle Mirror Transformation."
The company is seeking women between 16 and 60 years old and men between 30 and 70.
"Circle Mirror Transformation," a comedy, takes place in an adult creative drama class. The cast includes Marty, a theater instructor, a recently divorced carpenter, a high school junior, a former actress and Marty's husband. The play unfolds through a variety of theater games, which turn seemingly innocent fun into real-life drama.
Locally, the play will be directed by Grace Holtz.
Claire: 20s female, shy, timid, very conservative and meek
Taylor: 20s male, obnoxious, oblivious to surroundings and loud
Jeff and Sam: 20s males, easygoing and carefree
Alex: 20s male, uptight, quick to judge and shy
David and Drew: 20s males, quick-witted and silly
Jessica, Rachel and Heather: 20s females, outgoing, fun-loving and adventurous

Evatt & Bloom, comedy sketches
Evatt & Bloom is a blossoming film and comedy production company in Chattanooga. Recently, they released a series of Web-based comedy sketches. Now, the company wants to film more.
The sketches are a part of a new series and feature a wide variety of potential roles. The scripts are all original productions of Joel Ruiz, the brains behind Evatt & Bloom.
Improv and comedy experience is a plus. All roles are for 18- to 35-year-olds.
