Looking for something to get into tonight? Maybe a drink or a good time with friends? We've got you covered with a glimpse of things happening around town.
Monday cigars and football
If you’re like me (let’s face it, most of you are), then you enjoy relaxing with a fine cigar on Monday evenings. Burns Tobacconist downtown has the finest selection of stogies (not Swisher Sweets) in all of Chattanooga. Add drinks, food service and a nice leather chair to the mix, and you’ve got one heck of a Monday evening to look forward to. I’ve also become aware that football season has begun. And that Monday Night Football is usually worth watching.
When: 5-10 p.m.
Where: 723 Cherry St.
How much: Cigars range from $5-$35
Trivia nights are always alcohol-fueled endeavors with a touch of intellect thrown in. You game? Monday night is trivia night at Tremont Tavern with Jordan Hallquist. Test your brainpower against some of Chattanooga’s most well-rounded, self-proclaimed intellectuals as you drink fine beer and snarf down the best burgers in the city. How do you win at trivia? I always pick the guy sitting alone in the corner as my teammate. You don’t have to be smart to win, but rather have an extensive knowledge of useless information. See you there.
When: 8 p.m.
Where: 1203 Hixson Pike
How much: Free (but you should buy drinks and food)
