Senior Desmond Pittman, Ooltewah
Pittman dominated the East Hamilton defense throughout the Owls’ 28-26 win over the rival Hurricanes on Friday. The powerful Pittman, weighing it at 240 pounds, ran for a season-high 249 yards and two touchdowns in the narrow victory. He scored on runs of 2 and 15 yards.
Junior Auston Banks, Notre Dame
Just one week after racking up a career-high 296 yards, Notre Dame running back Auston Banks delivered another dazzling performance, piling up 173 yards and a pair of touchdown runs on 12 carries in the Fighting Irish’s 49-21 win over Bledsoe County.
Senior Kedrick Bradley, Hixson
The Wildcats racked up over 400 yards rushing in Friday’s 51-20 win over District 6-AA foe Howard. Bradley, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound senior, ran for 184 yards with touchdown runs of 4, 24 and 3 yards, while teammate Isaiah Robinson topped the 200-yard mark in the lopsided victory, notching a 95-yard touchdown run in the process.
Senior Dee Crisp, Bradley Central
Bears wide receiver Dee Crisp had himself quite a game Friday against District 5-AAA oppenent Walker Valley, hauling in five receptions for 143 yards and a pair of scores in his team’s 38-14 win over the Mustangs. The 6-foot-1, 187-pounder also brought down an interception in the victory.
Sophomore Jeffery Coleman, McCallie
The Blue Tornado suffered its second straight setback Friday — a 40-36 defeat to Kentucky power Bowling Green — but sophomore safety and return specialist Jeffery Coleman did his part for McCallie, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns in the losing effort. The 6-foot, 165-pounder took his first attempt 95 yards for a score, tying things up at 7-7, and he struck again in the second half, spotting his team a 36-27 advantage with 6:47 to play in the third.
