Gov. Bill Haslam's office announced Wednesday the appointment of 172 Tennesseans to 70 boards and commissions across the state, and several Chattanoogans were on the list of appointees.
Appointees from Chattanooga include Richard Thompson, who will serve on the Architects and Engineers Board of Examiners; Edwin Vance, who will serve on the Board of Boiler Rules; Charles Holt, who will serve on the Board of Dentistry; Kimberly Wingate, who will serve on the Interagency Coordinating Council; Warren Logan Jr., who will serve on the State Workforce Development Board; Regina Robinson, who will serve on the Statewide Independent Living Council; and Phil Acord, who will serve on the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth.
Appointment terms are varied.
In a news release, Haslam said his desire was for Tennessee to be well-represented on the boards and commissions.
"I appreciate the commitment of these men and women to serve their fellow Tennesseans, and I want to thank them for their willingness to give their time and effort to these issues," Haslam said. "Tennessee will be well-represented on these boards and commissions."
