Have you ever wondered how Chattanooga might appear if you were under the influence of psychedelic drugs?
Justin Hall, a local photographer and videographer, has created a trippy short film of time-lapse shots around Chattanooga with a kaleidoscope effect.
He spent years shooting time-lapse photography around Chattanooga and decided recently to revisit the footage for this video, which he calls "Time Lapse Remix."
"I didn’t invent anything here," Hall said. "I just haven’t seen it done in Chattanooga."
Some of the shots include traffic on Market Street Bridge and downtown. He also included images of the fireworks show from the Riverbend Festival.
He wasn’t trying to make an artistic statement, he said.
"I’ve been playing around with photos and mirroring things, trying to get it to look almost like a flood," he said. "But at a certain point it just becomes playing around. I didn’t really have anything to say."
Regardless, Hall was happy with the finished product.
"I just really like the distortion of time, the way the clouds tend to move with time lapse," he said. "It allows us to view the world in a way we don’t normally get to. It’s something a camera can do and you can’t."
