Chattanooga’s young professionals will gather for their annual Southern Soirée fundraiser on Oct. 11 at Miller Plaza.
The event will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight with Southern-inspired beverages and food.
Chattanooga Whiskey and Double-Cola are sponsoring the event. Champy’s Chicken is bringing the food. Music will be provided by Sound Force Entertainment.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in formal, Southern attire.
James Chapman is the Young Professionals Association of Chattanooga special events chair. He said this is both a celebration of the city and a networking opportunity.
"This event will be a great time for local young professionals to have some fun and enjoy getting to know one another," he said. "It may be past seersucker season, but we can still dress up like the Southern ladies and gentleman we are and celebrate the city where we live and work."
Tickets for the event are $25 for YPAC members and $30 for nonmembers. Tickets will be $35 on-site.
According to a release, the price includes two drinks and unlimited food. A cash bar will be available for additional drink purchases.
Updated @ 1:50 p.m. on 9/16/13 to correct a factual error: Champy's is providing food but not sponsoring the event, as originally reported.
