Labor Day has come and gone, and the end of summer is quickly approaching. Wine in the summer is all about being light- to medium-bodied with refreshing and juicy flavors. So I thought that I would compile a list of some of my go-to, end-of-the-summer wine choices. I will let you know that I had a hard time narrowing down the list.

Color: Gamay presents a bright ruby-red color but is transparent.
Nose: This wine has a mineral quality to it, as well as floral notes and light cherry. There are also nuances of earth and smoke.
Palate: There are deep red fruit flavors, such as ripe black cherries and raspberries. The wine is nicely balanced and has well-integrated tannins.
Pairing: This wine pairs best with any type of pasta, soup or even fish.
