From time to time, we come across some strange products. This occasional series will feature the strangest of the strange.
A question that has stumped many scholars and philosophers throughout the ages is once again being addressed by a new product called Cow Wow Cereal Milk.
The question: Do you drink the milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl?
For many kids, the answer is an enthusiastic YES! However, much of that milk’s flavor is just residual sweetness from sugary cereals.
Cow Wow is USDA-certified organic with two different flavors: Fruity Trudy is reminiscent of the flavors left in the bowl after cereals like Fruity Pebbles and Froot Loops. Chocolate Chip Cathy is the flavor of Cocoa Puffs and other chocolaty cereals.
The milk uses organic 1 percent milk and other natural flavors. Fruity Trudy is 170 calories per box and contains 21 calories from fat. Chocolate Chip Cathy is 175 calories, 22 of which come from fat.
According to a release statement, Cow Wow products are "gluten-free and contain nine essential ingredients."
However, each 8-ounce serving contains at least 20 grams of sugar, which is the equivalent to about 4 teaspoons of sugar per serving.
