Because neat is always best
The Whiskey Women are back at it—sampling that brown liquor, that is. This month’s waterhole is The Meeting Place on Market Street. Distiller extraordinaire Andy Nelson from Green Brier Distillery, located in Nashville, will speak about the family business and Belle Meade bourbon. Whipper Snapper and Sazerac rye whiskeys will also be available for tasting.

When: 6-9 p.m.

How much: $20 for two cocktails

All the ladies
The Palms at Hamilton has an answer to Riverbend: $2 vodka martinis for ladies. The Wednesday happy hour special runs in the early afternoon and blends right into an evening in the Coconut Room, where prime rib dinners and bottles and red and white wine arrive at the table for a special price and with the musical accompaniment of piano man Jimmy Harris.
