Milk and Honey is the fourth restaurant in Chattanooga owned by Mike and Taylor Monen, and each has its own distinct offerings. Milk and Honey will offer mostly coffee and desserts, focusing on housemade treats made with locally sourced ingredients. (Screenshot: Staff)

Milk and Honey, a gelato and dessert restaurant that will also serve coffee and breakfast offerings, opened this morning on the North Shore.

According to the business' Facebook page, the restaurant offers made-from-scratch gelato, fresh fruit popsicles, craft coffee (by the cup or the pitcher), breakfast bites, sweets that are baked in-house on a daily basis and weekday carhop service.

The new dessert spot is owned by Mike and Taylor Monen, who also own Community Pie (which also serves gelato made at Milk and Honey), Urban Stack and Taco Mamacita

Milk and Honey is located at 135 North Market St., in the same shopping center as Taco Mamacita.
