The Chattanooga songbook
With all the film happening on-site lately, it might be easy to forget the Heritage House Arts and Civic Center is for everything creative. Tonight, the venue hosts the Chattanooga Songwriters Association’s Song Symposium. Three local musicians—Ashley Steele, Ryan Oyer and James Green—who are also handy with a pen will take the stage for an intimate, acoustic show.

When: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7 p.m.
Where: 1428 Jenkins Road

The best thing about foreign lands ...
... is often the booze they ship around the globe. Imported beer may not be the King of Beers and may not hold that special taste of home that Natty Light offers the simple palate, but it can open up your taste horizons and perhaps even inspire a little bar-side banter at T-Bone’s Sports Cafe tonight about venturing outside the U.S. borders.

When: 7-10 p.m.
Where: 1419 Chestnut St.
How much: $2.50 for imports
