A mile in their shoes
The Salvation Army’s ReCreate Cafe Arts is taking the old advice to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes a new turn. The organization hosts a theater workshop this afternoon, open to trained and untrained actors, the homeless and the non-homeless. The piece, a narrative of life experiences from those participating, will come together through games, improvisation and storytelling.

When: 3-5 p.m.

Dinner in two food groups
The staples of a red-blooded American man’s diet? Meat and potatoes, of course, and a beer on the side sure doesn’t hurt. Bud’s Sports Bar serves up a steak with french fries—for under $10—special tonight with longnecks for less than $2, all in addition to the two-for-one happy hour drink special from 2 to 7 p.m.
