Main Street company Set in Stone recently moved its showroom down a couple of storefronts and added a training area that they showed off Thursday night at an open house.

The company's leaders create household products—such as countertops, bathroom vanities, furniture, coffee tables, desks, fireplace surrounds and showers—out of concrete.

Set in Stone is also now the East Coast location for the Buddy Rhodes training program that is based in San Francisco.

That means area residents can visit Set in Stone for lessons in how to make personalized household infrastructure.

Their next one-day trainings are March 17 and April 7. The next three-day training is April 8-10.

Dozens of people flowed through the new showroom Thursday night, and the hosts provided food from Southside businesses, such as La Altena and Niedlov's. A local artist did the images on the wall. (Photo: Staff)
