Diabetes management workshops will be held every Thursday from March 21 through April 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Memorial Community Room of the Hamilton Family YMCA, located at 7430 Shallowford Road.

The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department and Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability are hosting the free workshops, which are designed to help people with diabetes take control and learn to self-manage.

Participants will get support, find ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover better nutrition and exercise options, learn how to prevent complications, receive a copy of the book "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions," and learn how to improve communication skills with their doctors and families.

Space is limited, so registration is required. To register, call 423-209-8203 or 423-424-4281.
