Sen. Bob Corker will be among a small group of Republican senators to dine near the White House with President Barack Obama tonight, according to an Associated Press report.
Along with Corker, Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Kelly Ayotte, Pat Toomey and Ron Johnson will meet with Obama over dinner this evening at a hotel near the White House.
Days removed from the most recent partisan budget battle over the sequester, the president is making attempts to reach out to rank-and-file members of the Senate and House of Representatives to discuss broader budget goals.
Notably left out of the talks are members of GOP leadership, the report says.
