Local residents invited to nominate their physicians for Doctor's Day recognition

Nominations are now being accepted from community members for outstanding physicians in the area.

The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, Medical Foundation of Chattanooga and Project Access are recognizing local physicians on the annual Doctor’s Day in March.

All of the physicians who are nominated will be honored at a Doctor's Day reception on March 28 at 6 p.m. at COS Business Products & Interiors. 

Submissions can be mailed to the Medial Society, located at 1917 E. Third St., Chattanooga, TN 37404, or emailed to kevin@chattmedsoc.org. Submissions can also be faxed to 423-622-7331. 

The deadline for submissions is noon on Monday, March 11.

All nominations should include the physician's name and the reasons for recognition, such as dedication to patients, staff and family and/or involvement in the community. Personal stories about the doctor you are nominating are welcome. 

This year’s observance will also salute the more than 700 physicians who have cared for low-income, uninsured residents of the community through Project Access.
