The Hamilton County Commission expects to appoint a new Juvenile Court judge as early as April 11.
Commission Chairman Larry Henry said during Thursday's commission meeting that although the group "didn't relish appointments," commissioners would need to determine a replacement for Judge Suzanne Bailey.
Bailey announced earlier this month that she would retire after nearly 30 years on the bench for Hamilton County Juvenile Court.
Henry said the commission would begin accepting applications for the position on March 11.
The application period will last until March 20 at 4 p.m.
Henry said that public interviews for the position would take place on April 3 and April 4.
The commission will then vote on appointing Bailey's replacement at their April 11 meeting.
