Musical love child, you say?
It would be hard to resist a band self-styled as the musical lovechild of grizzled, bourbon-soaked Tom Waits and jazz legend Billie Holiday. The Chattanooga based five-piece set, Ashley and the X’s, claims influences from metal to doo wop and gets a jump on Road to Nightfall tonight at Rhythm & Brews with opening act Fu Dog.

And the taken ones, too! Tonight, The Palms at Hamilton Place offers its own version of ladies night, complete with all the right elements and a few extra that might prove enticing enough to venture out to Hamilton Place: a martini special, half-off selected wines by the bottle, a slow-roasted prime rib special, the piano stylings of Jimmy Harris in the Coconut Room and a DJ on the dance floor.
