Wilderness Medicine Institute of National Outdoor Leadership School will hold a First Responder course May 6-15 at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn. 

Founded in 1990, the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS provides the highest quality education and information for the recognition, treatment and prevention of wilderness emergencies. In this nine-day course designed for outdoor professionals, attendees will gain the skills and confidence to make complex medical decisions in remote environments. 

Tuition is $600 dollars for Southern students, $650 for those not registed at Southern before March 29 and $700 for those not registered at Southern after March 29. Camping is $100 per person.
