Labor groups representing members of both the Chattanooga Fire Department and area law enforcement agencies are continuing to endorse candidates for upcoming municipal elections. 

This week, the International Brotherhood of Police Officers announced it would support Councilman Andraé McGary in his bid for re-election in District 8. The labor group has also endorsed Councilman Peter Murphy in District 9, candidate Ken Smith in District 3, candidate Tom Tomisek in District 4 and candidate Chris Anderson in District 7. 

The Chattanooga Firefighters Association, which consists of members of the Chattanooga Fire Department, also announced this week its endorsement of District 2 candidate Roger Tuder. The group has also given its endorsement to candidate Ken Smith in District 3, candidate Ryan King in District 4, candidate Chris Anderson in District 7 and Councilman Peter Murphy in District 9. 

Municipal elections are March 5.
