Leaders with Enzo's Market—the Southside's grocery store that's currently in the works—posted their first round of job openings on the business' Facebook page

Leaders listed job openings for an assistant store manager, butcher, manager of food services and produce manager.

Those are salaried positions, according to the job listing. The listing doesn't show the exact salary.

Leaders said on the Facebook page that they will be contacting qualified candidates in January for interviews, and the next round of jobs will be posted in mid- or late January.

Those positions will be for cashiers, counter service and kitchen employees, and bakery jobs.

Operating partner Gavin Thomas said women and minorities are encouraged to apply for the positions.

"We are particularly interested in applicants who have worked in small independent grocery stores, produce companies and specialty meat markets," he said via email.

In May, Thomas said the new store would easily bring "a couple hundred jobs” for the construction and renovation of the building.

Once it is complete, there will be between 35 and 40 part-time and full-time jobs for grocery employees, Thomas said over the summer, according to Nooga.com archives.
