As Tennessee continues to push for the preservation of 20,000 acres of the Cherokee National Forest through the Tennessee Wilderness Act of 2011, hearing a voice reflect on a similar conservation effort is in order. North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy hosts author and advocate Jay Leutze tonight to share his story of the legal fight for tracks of the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina’s Belview Mountain community and the remarkable discovery of the generations-old connection to the land.
