Cotton and pills—Knoxville style
First, the Dirty Guv’nahs played Track 29 for Mainx24, and now, singer/songwriter Erick Baker takes the stage at Rhythm & Brews tonight. It’s official: The Knoxville music invasion is well underway. The soon-to-be announced Best Local Singer/Songwriter—as chosen by Cityview Magazine—is best-known for the ardent sincerity of his music, a sound that draws pieces of blues, country, folk and pop lyrics that sink in with equal parts bite, burn and affection.

Taco, taco!
In addition to the daily (yes, daily!) libation specials—two for one drinks and 75 cents off pitchers from 2 to 7 p.m.—Bud’s Sports Bar is offering tacos for one quarter tonight. That’s dinner for $2 or a food coma for $4.
