Hodge shoots 70 in PGA Tour Q-School fifth round

LAQUINTA, Calif. — Former UTC golfer Jonathan Hodge shot a 2-under-par 70 in the fifth round of the PGA Tour’s Qualifying School on Sunday, but that didn’t elevate him on the leaderboard.

Hodge, who now stands at 8 under par for the tournament, was in a tie for 86th. He’s now tied for 85th with Monday’s final round remaining.

Only the low 25 and ties earn a PGA Tour card. But the next group of players nearest 50 will be able to earn a Tour card.

Another former Moc, Stephan Jaeger, shot 78 on Sunday and is tied for 166th, which is last place.
