Memorial Health Care System and United Healthcare reach new agreement 
Leaders with Memorial Health Care System announced that they have reached a new agreement with United Healthcare.

The new contract allows that United Healthcare employer-sponsored, individual and Medicare members will now have in-network use of services at Memorial Hospital, Memorial Hospital Hixson and the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center. 

The change was effective Nov. 1. 

Volkswagen sales up 11.2 percent
The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand sold 4.72 million vehicles between January and October, leaders said Tuesday.

That is up from 4.24 million during the same period last year—an 11.2 percent increase. 

Leaders said sales outside of Europe are a big part of the sales growth. 

Georgia Winery wins in South and Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine competitions
This year, the Georgia Winery entered the Wines of the South and Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine competitions and took home bronze, silver and gold medals in a variety of categories.

At the Mid-Atlantic Competition, in which 535 wines competed, all six of the Georgia Winery’s wines that leaders entered also placed.

Piña Colada from the sweet/other category and Tennessee Tangerine from the blends category both took home a gold medal. Both were first-time winners. 

Battlefield 150 from the semisweet category and Tailgate Red from the sweet/other category received bronze medals. This wine was also a first-time winner.
