The question of the lawn
Chattanooga nonprofit GreenSpaces explores how natural meadows compare to the manicured green areas created in urban and suburban settings. The Main Street organization hosts a screening of “Urban & Suburban Meadows: Bringing Meadowscaping to Big and Small Spaces”—which builds on Catherine Zimmerman’s book by the same name—to provide an in-depth look at meadows from an ecological and biodiversity perspective and examine the environmental challenges presented by the use of pesticide and non-native grass.

A sugary Monday
