Additionally, the Chattanooga Technology Council will name the winner of the Early Innovator Award at the luncheon, which recognizes an emerging, technology-based company that has produced a groundbreaking prototype product or beta stage software application that represents the potential for a significant competitive advantage.

Jonathan Taplan, director of Annenberg Innovation Lab, will be the keynote speaker at this year's event. Taplan has held a variety of executive leadership roles in the digital media entertainment and international communication management fields. He owns two patents for video-on-demand technologies and is the founder of video-on-demand company Intertainer. He was appointed to the California Broadband Task Force by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006.
