Hitting the high notes
The Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium opens its two-night run of Broadway’s “Sister Act” tonight. Based on the 1992 motion picture starring Whoopi Goldberg as a sassy lounge singer-turned-sassy nun with an ear for the undiscovered musical talent at St. Katherine’s Roman Catholic Church in San Francisco, the musical was a fixture on the Great White Way from April 2011 to August 2012.

When: Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 25 and 26, 7:30 p.m.
Where: 399 McCallie Ave.
How much: Tickets range from a student-friendly $12.50 to $57.50
