Center fielder Nick Buss starred for the Lookouts for the second game in a row, but it wasn’t enough Sunday afternoon in Mobile. BayBears third baseman Matt Davidson hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning and the BayBears walked off with a 7-5 victory at home.

Buss, who had three RBIs in Saturday’s victory, was moved to the leadoff spot Sunday and picked up another three hits, while driving in one and scoring a run. He has now registered a hit in six of his last nine at-bats, moving his average to .231.

The Lookouts took a 2-0 lead in the third inning, but Mobile responded with five runs in the fifth. Davidson went 2-4 in the game, with a fifth-inning home run in addition to his game-ending shot.

Mobile starting pitcher Derek Eitel was solid through six innings, but Chattanooga manufactured three runs against him in the seventh to tie the game.

Despite the big inning, Lookouts starter Chris Withrow made it through the fifth inning, striking out four while giving up five hits. Blake Johnson threw the 10th-inning pitch that Davidson dropped over the left-field wall.

The Lookouts (16-22) and BayBears (24-14) continue their series in Mobile Monday at 8:05.
