For the second time in three weeks, Mobile BayBears pitcher Trevor Bauer stifled the Lookouts bats. On April 26 in Chattanooga he gave up just one run in six innings to earn the win. Friday night in Mobile, the Arizona Diamondbacks' No. 1 prospect again gave up just one run, going seven innings this time in a 6-1 BayBears victory.

Bauer struck out nine and surrendered six hits to the Lookouts, which had scored 11 Thursday night in the finale of a homestand against Montgomery.

For Chattanooga, Aaron Miller gave up just two runs in five innings, but was still hit with his fourth loss of the season. The Lookouts scored first, with an RBI double from Blake Smith in the second, but Bauer never flinched again.

Mobile (23-13) responded with two runs in the fourth, then three more in the sixth to pull away.

The two teams continue their series Saturday afternoon at 3:05. The Lookouts (15-21) return to Chattanooga Thursday, May 15 for the start of a five-game series with Huntsville.
