A new website for Chattanooga has gone live.

The city debuted its new, $128,000 website Monday. City Council members approved a total budget of $328,000 to overhaul the site last June, leaving $200,000 remaining for improvements and additions needed in the next four years.

Chattanooga Web development firm MayCreate built the site, which includes more than 51,800 pages, links and documents available to city residents. Visitors are greeted with high-resolution photos of Chattanooga, navigation tabs and a custom search bar.

The city's previous website was last updated in the early 2000s.

The website also implements Chatype, a typeface designed uniquely for Chattanooga.
