Chattanooga Symphony and Opera announces Big Band Fever

Event celebrates and salutes the best of big band music

The Chattanooga Symphony and Opera's Big Band Orchestra will host its annual Big Band Fever event, in honor and celebration of big band music, Feb. 10 and 11 at 9 p.m.

March 15-16: Carmina Burana                                                         

March 25: Mendelssohn, Symphony No. 4  

This concert is sponsored by SunTrust Bank and will feature fun and engaging swing music.

The event, which will be held at the Tivoli Theatre on Broad Street, will be conducted by Conductor Emeritus Bob Bernhardt, and Neshawn Calloway will join in as a guest vocalist. Robert Bernhardt is the CSO's conductor.

Tickets start at $19, and student tickets are $17.

This will be the second year that the event includes a "tweet-up." Last year, the Big Band Fever audience was able to live tweet about their favorite moments of the concert, send Valentine's messages and comment about the dance moves on the Tivoli's stage.
