The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association released the wrestling state dual meet brackets for all three classifications Sunday. The Chattanooga area is represented by two teams in each of the three brackets and sends two defending champions back to the tournament.

Central won the A-AA title last year, while Baylor took home the Division II crown. Bradley Central won the Class AAA title last season, but had its spot in this year’s tournament stolen away by Cleveland when the Blue Raiders beat their crosstown rival in last week’s Region 3 tournament.

All three state meets begin Friday in Franklin at the Williamson County Agricultural Center. Matches will start at 3:30 p.m. Friday and finals are scheduled for all three classifications at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Brackets:

Class AAA

Soddy-Daisy finished second to Bradley Central in last season’s state duals, but enters this year’s tournament as the heavy favorite. Ranked, No. 2 in the most recent coaches poll, the Trojans face Wilson Central in the opening round.

On the other side of the bracket, Cleveland takes on Blackman in its first-round meet. The Blue Raiders missed the tournament last year, and will be looking for their first state duals title since 1994.

Class A/AA

Central returns to Franklin as the defending champion and will face Page in the first round. The team the Purple Pounders beat in last season’s final, Pigeon Forge, joins Hixson on the opposite side of the bracket. The Wildcats finished third in 2011 and will face Sullivan East in the opener before likely taking on Pigeon Forge in the semifinals.

Division II

Fresh off a win over rival McCallie Friday night, Baylor heads to the state duals with momentum and a title to defend. The Red Raiders will take on Memphis University school in the first round. If they win, it could set up a rematch of last year’s final with Christian Brothers in the semifinals.

McCallie finished third in the 2010 duals and opens this year with St. Benedict.
