Chicago-based marketing and advertising firm Two by Four announced it has chosen Chattanooga's Warehouse Row for its second office.

“One of our strategic goals for growth has been to establish a Southeast presence,” David Stevenson, Two by Four president and executive creative director, said in a prepared statement.

“With some of our clients located nearby, existing connections in the area, a city that’s focused on promoting a creative culture and amenities like gigabit-per-second Internet service, Chattanooga was the ideal location for our expansion, and we expect it to grow rapidly," he said.

Two by Four offers advertising, design, interactive, promotions and direct response services for an
extensive client roster that boasts names such as Wrangler, Bridgestone Retail Operations and the Chicago
Bears.

The new, 3,600-square-foot Warehouse Row office is currently underway, and officials with the company said it will be "one of a kind."

The new agency has enlisted Chattanooga’s HK Architects to collaborate on the design of a creative, open,
one-of-a-kind workspace within Warehouse Row to be completed by early March.

“Warehouse Row offers distinction—location and retail and office space—within downtown Chattanooga,” George Krauth, creative manager for Jamestown, said in a prepared statement. “Two by Four’s expansion into Chattanooga is an indicator of the creative industry's growth in the city, and we are thrilled they are leasing at Warehouse Row. We look forward to watching the impact they will have on the city.”

The company is already making a local economic impact with the hire of five local advertising staff members, officials also said.

Leaders expect to hire additional staff in the near future.

The staff
—Mark Jacobus, vice president, operations and new business: Jacobus has 25 years of agency and account management experience. He has worked in senior management positions at numerous agencies in the area, including a nine-year period of owning and operating Jacobus and Associates, and has managed major national brands such as Sprint and Cricket. In his current position, Jacobus will oversee the day-to-day operations of Two by Four Chattanooga and lead the business development team.

—Angie Jordan, vice president, creative director: Jordan’s tenure in the advertising industry
spans nearly 20 years. She’s worked as both copywriter and art director on brands such as Wrangler, HyattRegency, Sears Kenmore and the Tennessee Greenways. Her client work in the Chattanooga area includes Memorial Healthcare System and First Things First.

—Beth Johnson, vice president, director of client leadership: Johnson joins Two by Four with
more than 17 years of experience in the marketing industry from copywriting to public relations to account service. She has managed brands such as Whirlpool, Amana and Maytag and more recently spearheaded the PR, marketing and fundraising efforts for Chattanooga's 2011 Extreme Makeover Big Hearts Build. As director of client leadership, Johnson will work with client partners to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies.

2002 as a traffic assistant at WTVC-TV and then as traffic manager at WDEF-TV until 2007. She most
recently held the position of media buyer at KMT Creative Group.

The Chattanooga Two by Four team is already working with several notable client partners in the area,
including EPB Fiber Optics, according to a news release.

“Our marketing efforts are stronger and more effective because of our partnership with Two by Four,” Jere Young, EPB vice president of marketing, said. “As a community-focused company, it’s critical our agency understands the needs of the people of Chattanooga. As a local agency, Two by Four can speak to our customers in a way they understand. We feel EPB’s story is made stronger by the talents our partners at Two by Four bring to the table.”
